Terex Corporation Lean Leader in Newton, New Hampshire

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Reporting directly to the Operations Director in this position you will be responsible for advancing and maintaining the Terex culture of continuous improvement by deploying lean tools, processes, and methods that both improve business performance and advance our goal of becoming a learning organization. You will work with site management to establish a future state vision and develop a plan for implementation.

Responsibilities

  • To provide tools for companywide improvement through training, meeting leadership and facilitation, collaborative project management and promotion of Terex Business System (our Lean System) utilizing shop floor kaizen, production preparation and distribution Kaizen processes

  • Mentors and develops selected Team Members to lead kaizen events (including but not limited to TIP's/3P/Distribution Value Stream Mapping)

  • Develops Terex Business System training materials as customer needs require, utilizing principles of adult education

  • Manages and develops subordinate Terex Improvement Leaders and Kaizen cell team members as required to meet customer delivery requirements

  • Serves as an internal improvement consultant working with site management team to establish future improvement vision for operations and the development of strategic plan for implementation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years working within a Toyota Production System (TPS) modeled environment.

  • Previous management experience (3 – 5 years minimum) in a manufacturing role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree in IE, ME, Business or applicable course of study highly desired highly preferred

  • Leadership of no fewer than twelve (12) Improvement events highly preferred

  • Leadership of Shingijutsu Level improvement events, five (5) events preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently

  • Strong ability to influence peers through engagement

  • Proficiency in the teaching, development and presentation of standardized training materials

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven facilitation skills of groups in size of four (4) to twenty (20)

  • Proven ability to develop Lean Leaders
