Terex Corporation IT Business Analyst in Redmond, Washington
The IT Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between the Parts and Services function and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. The ideal candidate will analyze business partner’s operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions; assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology; translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to such specifications; and advise the IT teams on the direction of the business.
Partner with the Parts and Services and IT teams to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements
Work with end users to determine needs (data, screens, processes, reports) and develop scope
Draft detailed specifications that reflects the user’s needs
Analyze, document and test program development, logic, process flows and specifications and make recommendations where improvements can be made
Support the implementation of systems for Field Service, Parts Inventory management and Warehouse management to create an experience that positions Terex as the first choice among peers for parts and services
Partner with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing
Document user manuals to describe application installation and operating procedures
Coordinate the project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
Develops an understanding of how solutions will impact present and future business needs.
Keep current with advances in both technology and technique (i.e.: web, client/server; rapid application development techniques; relational database methodology).
3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role
Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, or MIS
Solid background in business enablement through technology
Previous experience with ERP (functions like order management, warehouse management, fulfillment and transportation) and CRM applications from an implementation / support perspective
Analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Demonstrated ability to review, consolidate and communicate with all levels within IT and the business
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication and relationship building skills across levels and functions
Organized and flexible to changing business priorities
Problem solving & delivering result.
Excellent presentation and listening skills
Ability to work well with people from many different cultures and disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience over geographically dispersed locations
Willingness to take ownership of issues, ensure all interested parties are kept informed of progress and deliver solutions
Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with changing priorities
Highest level of integrity, honesty and trust
Must be willing and able to travel approximately 20%-30% of the time
